A class action lawsuit has been certified in Las Vegas, Nevada (case number A#493302) related to Kitec brass fittings. The Homeowners Consumer Center is trying to discover if homeowners in other cities, or states have had any problems or issues with this plumbing product. The Homeowners Consumer Center has established that the Kitec brass fitting plumbing part was installed in new homes built in the Seattle metro area, the Southern California, and the Albuquerque metro area's prior to January 1st 2005. The Homeowners Consumer Center has also heard that the Kitec brass fitting plumbing part may have been installed in new homes in Arizona, and Oregon prior to January 1st 2005. The Kitec plumbing system is a "Pex" (plastic pipe) type plumbing system with connections that are made of brass.
